Having lived a life of ease in the heavens, Adonis had done well keeping a low profile and staying out of trouble.
But jealous Hera, whose wrath had come down on every half-mortal-half-god on Mount Olympus and earth, finally had him in her sites. She orders Adonis to find a mortal woman to marry and mate, spreading his seed. Adonis has to accomplish this feat in two weeks, or...pay the consequences. And with someone as volatile as Hera, he knew it was no idle threat. She had saddled him with wings, merely to make his feat even more challenging.
The only problem was...Adonis loved men, not women.
Reese Anderson is a writer of erotic gay porn. Though he lives his life in his fantasy land, pumping out a plethora of novels per year, Reese doesn't have good luck with men. They come...and they go.
One day on the beach in LA, Reese spots a man with wings and thinks he is seeing an angel of his death. Though he panics and the man flees, Reese returns to that beach to find that mysterious man, one who is desire incarnate.
Little does Reese know that his life is on a collision course with the gods of Greek Mythology as he finds himself in love with an Adonis. 'The' Adonis. And Adonis soon becomes the star of Hollywood, and the 'Adonis of WeHo.'

It is an interesting spin on mixing the Greek gods with modern humans. Hilarious, I was laughing throughout the whole thing. I love Greek mythology and history, and seeing them placed in modern times was great. The characters were funny and, it was a spoof, so it was very silly of course, but well worth the read if you are looking for light hearted humor. I also loved how many of the gods banded together to help Adonis and Reese. I definitely recommend this book!

The Adonis of WeHo A 'divine' comedy edition by G A Hauser Stacey Rhodes Dennis Dean Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

A fast paced comedy that had me giggling nearly throughout. The issues Adonis faces when ordered to marry start at the beginning when he defies his mother, Hera, and gets saddled with "hideous chicken wings". A slight tweak from his dad, Zeus, and they turn invisible to the naked human eye. But he still must find a suitable human mate to wed, one who will accept him and his wings. Luckily for him, he immediately finds friends who guide him through the intricacies of modern life and technology with quite a few mishaps.

With the wings hidden, his confidence builds enough to join his new friends at the beach, which is where he sees Reese. And with a single stunned look of shock, Adonis realizes this one man can see what no one else can. His wings. Terrified of the meaning and exposure he runs. Luckily, Reese isn't the type to let a sleeping dog lie--or to let a hunk like Adonis escape.

The meeting between this two was explosive, with lots of "I'm insane" thrown in for humor. Trying to hide from Hera as their attraction built while defying the face of his order has Adonis high-strung. Not that I could blame him. He really didn't want to see what else could be done aside from the wings for his continued disobedience from a vengeful goddess. But when he falls for Reese and he believes Reese has the same feelings, a possibility to escape the curse of the wings is within reach.

If only they can avoid detection, hail storms, and a pissed huntress with a bow and arrow to actually say "I do" to fulfill the order, it might just work.
I love GA Hauser. Her books are wonderful!!! If you love this author and know her humor and the way she thinks you will love this book. I laughed throughout this book and the character Reese was so her if she was a man. I loved the way she symbolizes so many problems especially with the politics that is going on in this election. If you ever read her blog this book it just her. Anyway, read this book it was great!!!
